New White Paper by SRX\u2019s Paula Agoglia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Our own Paula Agoglia<\/a>, Senior Vice President of Business Development, recently teamed up with Integrated Care Solutions\u2019<\/a> Dana Strauss, VP of Partner Engagement, and Dr. Ken Donovan from Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, for a white paper in Skilled Nursing News (SNN) about \u201cManaging Medication Handoffs.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These experts have well over 75 years of combined experience in the long-term care (LTC) industry, especially in post-acute care settings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agoglia, a pharmacist, uses her expertise at SRX to help LTC and skilled nursing operators navigate the endless challenges surrounding costs related to pharmacy spend. Strauss<\/a> is a Doctor of Physical Therapy whose clinical career experience and business development background influenced her career shift to value-based care programs. Her passion is advocating for optimal patient experiences and outcomes wherever an individual is on the spectrum of wellness, illness, injury, or chronic-care. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LTC facilities have suffered a blow during COVID-19, but there is also an opportunity to right the ship. The white paper explores how operators can streamline the complicated process of medication management across settings through a combination of technology and preparation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think there needs to be more effort as far as resources and funding for discharge planning, and to close the gap in the process when it comes to medication reconciliation,\u201d Agoglia said. \u201cThe cost of that, I think, is certainly going to be lower when you compare it to the cost of the consequences of med errors and readmission, rehospitalization.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
